GET LOST aims to bridge the gap between businesses and the art world starting from the premise that each can inspire the other.

GET LOST develops art routes with young, promising artists who are commissioned by companies or organizations. The artworks are temporarily placed in public space for the duration of the art-route exhibition. At the end of the art-route exhibition the companies who have participated in the project are given the right of first refusal to buy the artworks.

GET LOST serves as mediator between the artists, curators and participating organisations. Its task is to monitor the autonomy and quality of the artwork, while safeguarding the needs of the participating businesses.

Cecile Mullens-Wentges

initiated GET LOST – art route. After obtaining a Master’s Degree in Finance from the University of Amsterdam and doing management traineeship at a multinational, she changed course entirely and went to study at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie. Cecile had always wanted to be an artist, but the expectations of her environment initially prevented her from daring to take this path.

She graduated from the Rietveld Academie in 2013 with the project I wonder where we will meet. Cecile Mullens-Wentges literally built a bridge between the Gerrit Rietveld Academie and the legal firm Loyens & Loeff next door. She then held guided tours for each group through the other’s world. They live and work in such close proximity to one another, what happens when all the prejudices are pushed aside for a moment?
